Pick-up early morning at your hotel
We start this tour by visitng the Caen Memorial Museum which stands just above the command bunker of General Wilhelm Richter. Then we will drive to Pegasus Bridge on the canal de Caen leading to Ouistreham where the British troops landed on Sword Beach. Driving on the scenic coastal road many bunkers can be seen, we will reach Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery at Colleville. We stay overnight at Bayeux or nearby.

We will pass Arromanches and the remains of the Mulberry Harbour on the way to la Pointe du Hoc stromed by the rangers in a daring assault on D-Day. Driving to Sainte-Mère-Église you will be able to see the famous "bocage" where the paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne landed on that night. There is an excellent museum in the town, and from where we will head to Utah beach.
This 2 Day Private Tour is usually combined with our WW1 tours, for this reason the starting point depends on the itinerary on the previous day.
