The Flanders region was the scene of a lot of fighting in WW1: from the German invasion in 1914, the first gas attack in April 1915, the bloodiest battle of Passchendaele in 1917 to the final offensives of 1918. We will stop by the site of the Christmas Truce in December 1914, the Messine ridge, Hill 60 and the mine craters on our way to Passchendaele and the museum: a fantastic immersive experience in a recreated WW1 undergound dug-out and a network of trenches. We will finish the day in Ypres where you will have some free time time to enjoy the picturesque town. At 8.00pm we will attend the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate and drive you back to your accommodation.
